Here is another Halloween scrapbooking layout. Thanks to Cindy from A Scrappe Angels Heaven in Werribee for drawing the cat for me. I had no hope of drawing something like that so well. I really enjoyed doing this particular layout and I am sure that I am going to use this ’serendipity’ technique quite a few times in the future. It was really easy to do and lots of fun.
There is a bit of a story behind this layout. On Halloween night my husband was working outside when he fell off the ladder. He made it to the front door which he had locked and banged on it. I was in the kitchen and there were kids in the lounge room playing but they didn’t bother to look to see what was happening. I thought it was a mum who had arrived to collect a child. Luckily for my husband our dog started barking and wouldn’t stop so I went outside to see what was happening. He was lying face down and there was blood everywhere.
He was concious but I didn’t want to move him so I rang the ambulance which came quite quickly. The ambos were great (thanks guys). They took him off to hospital for stitches and a check up. I sent my daughter off with her cousin and I went with a friend to collect hubby from hospital. I have to add that we were already wearing our Halloween costumes ready for a scrapbooking party.
So we took hubby home (he said he was fine) and went to the party leaving the bloody hand prints down the door, blood drips up the garden path and substantial pool of blood in the driveway. Strangely hubby says no one knocked on the door for trick or treat that night. But my daughter got to go trick or treating with her cousin (she got some good stuff as seen in the photo). She had a fantastic night, my friend and I had a great night at Scrappe Angels and hubby is just fine now.
